We’re thrilled to announce a significant update to our staging capabilities and user experience. Our latest improvements focus on delivering higher quality results while making it easier than ever for you to work with your images.
2K Resolution Staging with Advanced Detail Processing
Our new staging model update brings 2K resolution image creation to the platform, coupled with smarter staging understanding that captures higher texture detail and visual sophistication. This means your staged images will feature:
- Enhanced Texture Recognition: Better understanding of surface materials, fabrics, and finishes for more realistic furniture placement.
- Improved Detail Preservation: Higher fidelity in maintaining and enhancing visual details throughout the staged image.
- Smarter Spatial Reasoning: Advanced algorithms that better understand room layouts and optimal furniture arrangement for compelling staging results.
Expanded Image Upload Size Support
To complement our enhanced staging model, we’ve increased the maximum image upload size handling. The system now automatically resizes images larger than 3840 pixels in width or height before processing, allowing you to work with larger source images without manual compression.
This enhancement means:
- High-Quality Source Images: Upload your highest resolution images and let us handle the optimization.
- Seamless Processing: Automatic intelligent downscaling preserves image quality while maintaining optimal processing efficiency.
- Flexibility: Work with ultra-high resolution originals (4K and beyond) without compromising on results.
Quick Download Feature from the Editor
We’ve added a new quick download option directly in the editor page. When viewing your image history and staged versions, you’ll now see a download icon in the top-right corner of each staged image thumbnail.
This feature allows you to:
- Download Without Leaving the Editor: Quickly save your staged images without navigating away from your current work.
- Paid & Free User Support: Paid users can download clean images immediately, while free users will receive watermarked versions with our branding.
- Bulk Workflow: Check multiple staged versions side-by-side and download your favorites on the spot.

We’re thrilled to share some of the great new features and enhancements we’ve been working on to make your experience with Rooms Imagined even better. These updates are a direct result of your valuable feedback, and we can’t wait for you to try them out!
Major New Feature: Editing is Here!
This is our biggest enhancement in this release. The new Editing feature is designed to help you get to your final virtual staging result faster while preserving the staged details.
No more restaging the entire image just because it was lacking a small element or because of an oddly placed object. The new Editor will show you all versions of your staged designs for the selected original image. Click the version you want to edit and simply type in what you want changed.
Quick Editing Tools:
- Prompt Editing: Change furniture color, light a fireplace, or add decor/art.
- Object Removal: Use the quick selection tools (in different shapes) to select an item for deletion. No explanation is needed just draw around the object you want removed and apply the edit.
- If you want to restage in an entirely different style, click the original image from the history list and start with a fresh layout.
Introducing Staging Model Version 2
The next major update is the release of a whole new staging model, Version 2, which is now selected by default in the editor.
We have worked hard to deliver significant improvements:
- Better spatial recognition for complex rooms and design layouts.
- Improved understanding of placed furniture and removal of distracting label text.
- Enhanced preservation of the original image while staging and editing.
- Improved accuracy in following user instructions.
Additional Enhancements
In addition to these major changes, we have implemented several quality-of-life updates:
Gallery and Workflow
We have added easier action buttons to the gallery images for quicker staging or furniture removal. Other options are now consolidated under a single menu for each image.
Room Organization
With the addition of our Version 2 model, we have also included room labels to help identify multiple spaces more easily when more than one room is selected. They work the same as the furniture labels—just drag and place them where you want to identify the space.
Exterior Staging
We have also included an “Exterior” option to the room type selection. When this is chosen, you can type your instructions for staging the exterior of the property, with examples provided in the instructions input.
A Note on Model Selection
The original staging model (Version 1) will still be an option in the editor. You can change the selection at the bottom of the staging controls panel prior to staging. Both models are still 1 credit per use, but we strongly suggest using Version 2 for the best results.
